Roaming the Streets of the West Village
I met up with Morgan & Zack on the most perfect evening for their engagement session in the West Village. They live nearby so it was a no-brainer to start their session on this cute little street and end up on their rooftop nearby with incredible views of the city and the Hudson River.
For a California girl born and raised in LA, who loved Sex and the City and the allure of New York City, this session was so much fun to photograph. Morgan’s style, their love for each other, the most adorable puppy (named after the Hudson River they can see from their apartment)- this engagement session in the West Village was just so perfect.
When we were done, I remember walking back to my hotel in nearby Soho feeling so happy and so inspired. I can’t wait for their wedding later this month (it’s going to be so good) and I also can’t wait for more sessions in NYC soon. Traveling for any reason is fun, but I especially love traveling to photograph people in their own cities, especially when it’s in one of the best cities in the world.
The West Village just might be the most charming little area in New York City. I loved all the brick buildings, cute stoops, and little nooks that had the best light for photos.
I have so many favorite images from this engagement session, but this might be a top.
A Rooftop with the Best Views
After starting this engagement session in the West Village by roaming the streets for a bit, we headed back to their apartment for a quick change and to take a few photos with their cute puppy, Hudson.
Their rooftop had the most incredible views!
I love you, New York City. And I’ll always say yes to an engagement session in the West Village… I look forward to many more sessions and weddings there next year!
