How do you describe your images?

In short, I create true-to-life, timeless images with a modern approach so that they feel both classic and fresh and will stand the test of time. When you look through your wedding or family albums in 30 years, I want you to smile because these images help you to remember exactly how your unique wedding day or special family moments looked & felt.

Words that clients have used to describe my work include sophisticated, natural, classic, full of emotion, fun, pretty, and all-around timeless.

You can expect stellar images that make you feel and look great; impeccable service centered around positivity, enthusiasm, and compassion in every interaction; the ability to look back on your wedding day with nothing but good feelings about the photography process thanks to beautiful photos and the memories of a really great experience.  

What cameras and equipment do you use?

I'm a believer that the equipment a photographer uses is far less important than the work they are able to create. However, many people are curious about what's in my bag(s) and I'm happy to share! I photograph weddings, families, and portraits primarily with natural light and use Canon R5 and Sony A7rv camera bodies  along with the highest quality lenses. For film work, I use a medium format Pentax 645NII and a 35mm Canon EOS1v, also with prime lenses. I bring multiple flashes and off-camera lighting to each wedding to use during the reception and for portraits when necessary. Then there's my tripod, flatlay styling kit, light stands... Basically, I get a work out simply carrying my bags to a wedding day. :)

Yes! Drone photography is available for all weddings and events. I love being able to offer this unique perspective that can create some truly epic images.

Do you shoot digital or film?

Short answer- both! For most of my career, my client work has been digital, so the majority of what I have shared in my portfolio over the years has been created digitally. I have always been inspired by the look of film and typically strive for a similar feel in the processing of my digital images.

Film is offered as an add-on to my digital photography collections for clients who know they love film, or for those who want to include the beauty of film photography in the documentation of their day. If film work appeals to you, please mention your interest in film photography when you inquire!

Who comes with you on a wedding day?

All photographers on my team have a photography style and approach similar to mine and are both technically and artistically vetted by me. My main team members have been working with me for 14+ years and I trust them fully to create beautiful images and treat my clients with kindness and love, just as I do.

Do you offer mentorships or training to other photographers?

Yes! One of my passions in life is to teach others what I know and have learned in this career for the past 20 years. I have offered workshops in the past and continuously offer one-on-one trainings and mentorships.
