What type of Family Session is right for you?

In the meantime, I’m sharing more about the session types I’m offering this season so you can decide which is best for you before booking is released.

Mini Sessions, Half Sessions & Full-length Sessions

This year, I’m offering mini sessions, half sessions, and full-length sessions. Read below to learn more about each option and decide which type of session will be best for you!

MINI SESSIONS

A mini session is a 15-minute session (for up to 6 people; one immediate family) at a set location on limited dates. You will receive 35+ high-resolution image files.

Want a few great images of your whole family for your holiday card? The Mini Session is a popular option for clients like you and for those who like the idea of a short and sweet session where we focus on images of the whole family together. Because of the limited time for these sessions, shots of just the kids or each person in the family aren’t guaranteed- I prefer to focus on shots of the whole family in our short time together.

Mini session rates vary slightly depending on the location.

HALF SESSIONS

Half Sessions are back this year in an effort to be able to photograph more families during a very busy season. Somewhere between a Mini Session and a Full-length session is the Half Session- a 40-45-minute session (up to 6 people) that, like a mini session, takes place at a set location on limited dates. But, you’ll get more time and more variety of images with 75+ high-resolution image files in your client gallery. Availability for Half Sessions is very limited and rates vary slightly among location options.

FULL-LENGTH SESSIONS

The Full-length session is, and has always been, my favorite kind of family shoot. Not only do these 1-1.5-hour sessions allow more time for kids (and adults) to play and warm up, but they also provide the clients the opportunity to choose the location, and schedule the shoot on a date and time that works best for their schedule. You will receive 135+ high-resolution image files and will have a wide variety of images from which to choose for your holiday card, for display around your home, and even for a portrait album if interested.

PLEASE NOTE: Outdoor sessions are best photographed during morning and evening time slots. Any full-length session time slots made available mid-day are for IN-HOME sessions at the client’s home, not outdoor shoots, so please only book those if you’re looking for an indoor session in your home. Mid-day sun is the least desirable for outdoor portraits and lighting is key to produce the most-beautiful images.
